Your AHN Cares experience begins on the Team Page. This is where you’ll find updates, events and other information. You can also find helpful information about your team page HERE.
How do I join a team?
Web: To Join a team, click the “Join A Team” button on the right side of the Home page. Search for the team name of your friend in need. Find your team and click the “Join Team” button.
Mobile: To Join a Team, select the icon in the top right corner, depicting a hand holding a heart. You’ll see a menu, with “Join A Team.” Click and search for the team name for your friend in need. Find your team and click the “Join Team” button.
How do I share the team with others?
Only team organizers can share the team with others.
Team Organizers can invite new members from the Team’s page. From the Team’s page, Team Organizers will find an “Invite Friends” button below the Team’s main images.
- You can share directly on Facebook from the “Invite Friends” button.
- Share directly via email from the “Invite Friends” button by clicking the envelope icon. An email window will open with sample text that you can edit. Simply add the email addresses for the people you wish to invite to the team. Then send the email.
How do I start a new team?
There are two ways to start a new team:
1) You can start a new team here: https://AHN Cares.org/teams
Click the “Create a new team” button to begin the process of creating a new team. When you’re finished, click the “Create Team” button.
2) From inside AHN Cares, start a new team from your team page by clicking “Create A Team” on the right side menu, under “Ways to Help.”

Why can’t I see the calendar or blog on my friend’s team page?
You must be a team member to view these areas. Search for your friend’s team and select “Join Team.”
How do I change the photos on my team page?
Only team organizers can add photos that will appear on team page.
- The team cover photo (background) and avatar (team photo) can both be changed.
- From the main Team page, click the ✎ icon. Select a photo from your device.
- Photos must be less than 6MB.
How do I leave a team?
To leave a team, go to your Profile page. Scroll down until you find the team you want to leave. Click the “Leave Team” button.
How can I post a note to the team page?
To post a note, click the “Add a Note” button on the right side menu, under “Ways to Help.” Write your note, and click “Post.”
Updates can include text, images, and video links.
- To add images, click the "add photo" symbol and select the image from your device. Then click “Post.”
- To add videos, click the 🎥 symbol and enter the URL of a YouTube or Vimeo video. Then click “Post.”
My team is no longer active, but I would still like to keep my account with AHN Cares.
You do not need to do anything. Your account will remain active.
