How do I set up an Amazon Wishlist?

Only team organizers can set up an Amazon Wishlist.

 * Begin by setting up a wishlist at Amazon.com. (Need help? Follow this LINK
   [https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_897204_createlist?nodeId=501088] 
   to get Amazon’s instructions.
 * Set your wishlist settings to “Public.”
 * Once your wishlist has been created, copy the URL and head back to the AHN
   Cares platform.
 * On the AHN Cares, go to your Team’s page. Under the Team’s banner image, on
   the right side, you’ll see a Settings button that looks like this:
 * Click the Settings button.
 * On the Settings page, scroll down to the “Donations & Gifts” area.
 * Paste your link into the “Amazon Gift Registry” link into the window, as
   directed on the page.
 * Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
 * Your team should now be able to link directly to the Amazon Wishlist from
   your team page.

How do I add or remove items from the Amazon Wishlist?

Click on the Wishlist link on the team page. This will take you to Amazon.com,
and you can make changes there.

What happens when someone purchases something from my Amazon Wishlist?

If you have entered your friend’s address with their Amazon Wishlist, any gifts
will be shipped directly to them and will be removed from the list.  Please note
the address will be hidden from the purchaser; only the city and state will be
verified.

How do I set up donations?

Only team organizers can set up donations.Go to your Team Page and click on
“Settings.”

 * Scroll down to the “Donations & Gifts” area.
 * Select the “Click here to setup Stripe Donations” link.
 * Proceed through the steps to connect Stripe to your friend’s bank account or
   debit card.
 * NOTE: You will need the bank account or debit card account details to
   complete these steps.
 * Once completed, your Team Page will be updated to receive and send donations.

How do I create an event?

Only Team Organizers can create events.

Team Organizers can click “Create An Event” on the Right Hand Menu, under Ways
to Help. They will be taken to an event post. Choose the type of event you wish
to create, and fill in the details. Click the “Create Event” button to enter the
event onto the team page.

I signed up to take food (or help with any task) but now cannot do it on that
date.

Go to the Calendar for your team. Select the task you signed up to do and then
click on the “Leave Event” button. The task will be active on the calendar for
someone else to sign up. If the task is happening in the very near future, you
may want to contact the organizer and let them know you can no longer do the
task so they can make other arrangements, if necessary. You may now go back onto
the Calendar and select a new day to help.

How do I join a team?

Web: To Join a team, click the “Join A Team” button on the right side of the
Home page. Search for the team name of your friend in need. Find your team and
click the “Join Team” button.

Mobile: To Join a Team, select the icon in the top right corner, depicting a
hand holding a heart. You’ll see a menu, with “Join A Team.” Click and search
for the team name for your friend in need. Find your team and click the “Join
Team” button.

How do I share the team with others?

Only team organizers can share the team with others.

Team Organizers can invite new members from the Team’s page. From the Team’s
page, Team Organizers will find an “Invite Friends” button below the Team’s main
images.

 * You can share directly on Facebook from the “Invite Friends” button.
 * Share directly via email from the “Invite Friends” button by clicking the
   envelope icon. An email window will open with sample text that you can edit.
   Simply add the email addresses for the people you wish to invite to the team.
   Then send the email.

How do I start a new team? 

There are two ways to start a new team:

1) You can start a new team here: https://AHN Cares.org/teams

Click the “Create a new team” button to begin the process of creating a new
team. When you’re finished, click the “Create Team” button.

2) From inside AHN Cares, start a new team from your team page by clicking
“Create A Team” on the right side menu, under “Ways to Help.”

Why can’t I see the calendar or blog on my friend’s team page?

You must be a team member to view these areas. Search for your friend’s team and
select “Join Team.”

How do I change the photos on my team page?

Only team organizers can add photos that will appear on team page.

 * The team cover photo (background) and avatar (team photo) can both be
   changed.
 * From the main Team page, click the ✎ icon. Select a photo from your device.
 * Photos must be less than 6MB.

How do I leave a team?

To leave a team, go to your Profile page. Scroll down until you find the team
you want to leave. Click the “Leave Team” button.

How can I post a note to the team page?

To post a note, click the “Add a Note” button on the right side menu, under
“Ways to Help.” Write your note, and click “Post.”

Updates can include text, images, and video links.

 * To add images, click the "add photo" symbol and select the image from your
   device. Then click “Post.”
 * To add videos, click the 🎥 symbol and enter the URL of a YouTube or Vimeo
   video. Then click “Post.”

My team is no longer active, but I would still like to keep my account with AHN
Cares.

You do not need to do anything. Your account will remain active.

Team Page

I created a login, but I don’t remember which email address I used.

You can try to login using your different addresses in order to request a login
link. The AHNCares system will only recognize email addresses that have already
been registered, so you will only get an email if that address matches your
account.

My password does not work or I forgot my password

With our magic link feature, you no longer have to worry about forgetting a
password! A single click will enable your access via email.

Magic Link sends emails that are unique to either mobile or web. So if you
request access from the AHN Cares app, you’ll get access to the mobile
application. If you request access from your web browser, you’ll get access to
the web-based version of AHN Cares.You can also login with a password:

 * Go to your Profile page by clicking the blue “Profile” button in the top,
   right corner of your web browser or by clicking on the Account icon in the
   app.
 * Then click “Advanced Settings.”
 * Enter your preferred password.
 * Click “Update.”

How do I edit my personal account information?

By design, we don’t capture a lot of personal information. To edit your account:

 * Go to your Profile page by clicking the blue “Profile” button in the top,
   right corner of your web browser or by clicking on the Account icon in the
   app.
 * Then click “Advanced Settings.”
 * Update your “Preferred Name,” phone number, and additional settings.
 * Click “Update.”
